2026 Noosa International Surfilm Festival (NISFF)

The festival in 2026 will kick off on Thursday, 13th August, and runs for four exciting days, wrapping up Sunday, 16th August 2026

Celebrate the best surf films from Australia and around the world at Noosa Event Cinemas, with screenings followed by Q&A sessions featuring your favourite surfers and filmmakers.

Experience a vibrant festival hub where you can share stories, have a drink, enjoy live music, join thought-provoking forums, and connect with surf filmmakers and industry leaders.

The international surf film scene is bursting with talent, and Noosa will showcase the very best—including emerging talent. Get ready for inspiring surf stories, stunning cinematography, original music, and the latest technology. Calling All Filmmakers

Filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit their works—whether short or feature-length. If that’s you, head to our SUBMISSIONS page for all the details.

Gromshorts

GromShorts returns in 2026, celebrating the next wave of storytellers. Open to young filmmakers 18 and under from around the world, it’s a space for fresh perspectives, surf-soaked moments, ocean connections, and the unexpected. Films of 5 minutes or under. Submissions are open 10 April – 1 July 2026.
